Monday, January 18, 2010 - 0840 hrs, Claymont along with 11 (Rescue and Engine) and 25 (Engine) were dispatched for the house fire at 22 Ravine Road. E132, A13, and Chief Harris were on the street within a minute of dispatch. 138 arrived and established the 'Claymont Command'. E132 laid into the scene and ran the 300 to the fire building. Smoke was evident from the A and B sides of the dwelling. The Engine crew investigated to find a fire had started in a bedroom, but was partially extinguished by the homeowner. The owner of the house removed the burning table, curtains, clothes, and trash can through a window burning himself in the process prior to FD arrival. The burn victim was transported to ER by A13. The engine mopped up the remaining hot spots and the incident was scaled back to 13 units by command.
