Monday, January 4, 2010 - 0956 hrs the box was dropped for the residential fire in 11's (Brandywine Hundred) local. Claymont was dispatched for the Ladder and Engine assist. E113 arrived with heavy fire from the rear of the residence. Ladder 13 arrived right behind the first due engine and assumed first due special service responsibilities. The crew split up with an inside and outside team. The outside team started throwing numerous ground ladders and began ventilating. The inside team started primary searches of the fire floor and floor above as well as assisting with extinguishing the bulk of the fire and opening up the fire rooms. E135 arrived and the crew went in service assisting with ventilation and opening up the second floor. Crews worked for approximately 2 hours until released by command.
